Banjo’s stellar year continues with new wins

Independent Sydney advertising agency Banjo has continued its rapid growth thanks to a number of recent business wins and the addition of a handful of fresh faces to its Sydney operation.

Already on the roster for the likes of Bonds, Nando’s, AMP and Destination NSW, and earlier this year bagging more work for Crown Melbourne, Banjo, which turned five last month, has added more new business recently.

This includes work for household goods maker Hills Holdings, Alinta Energy (WA) and fashion brand Best & Less.

The Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) has also called on Banjo for creative duties, while the agency has picked up work for Ruff and Purina YouTube channel (part of Nestle Purina), Sydney Dance Company and snack brand Kettle.

Banjo has also added some significant firepower to its ranks this year, including the appointment Scot Waterhouse from Leo Burnett Sydney as creative director.

Andrew Varasdi, managing partner at Banjo, told B&T that his agency may sometimes fly under the radar but said he’s delight with how the year has panned out and happy to be kept busy thanks to the new business wins.

“It’s been a great year so far, we’ve been doing some good work for some great brands, so long may it continue,” said Varasdi.
