Ahhh-llianz gets real for dramatic new spots

The Ahhh-llianz ads have struck again – this time with Aussie actors injecting some flavour into those everyday mishaps.

MercerBell is behind two new spots, ‘Chef’, which has been on air since Sunday and features a budding chef setting fire to his home, and ‘Garbage truck’, which will follow soon.

Actors Jeremy Sims, Helen Dallimore and Jessica Donoghue, and stuntman Grant Page, feature in the two new spots, which are directed by Abe Forsythe from the Jungle Boys.

David Bell, ECD at MercerBell, said: “Abe was able to attract a cast of Aussie talent usually seen on TV shows rather than commercials. He has given these spots a unique Aussie flavour.”

Forsythe added: “Knowing what a difference it makes to have things take place for real, I had a strong desire to place the actors in real life situations. So we really burnt down a house and staged a multi-car pile-up.”

The campaign includes TV, outdoor, radio and online ads, as well as a YouTube pre-roll execution.
