The finalists in this year’s ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards have been announced.

The awards from the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association recognise excellence in the promotion of the subscription TV industry. Entrants include TV channels, operators, production houses, media, advertising and creative agencies that contribute to subscription TV.

The winners will be announced at the ASTRA 2013 Conference on March 14 at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Petra Buchanan, CEO of ASTRA, said: “Each year, the STV industry is privileged to review groundbreaking and innovative marketing campaigns submitted to the awards. This year, the submissions are indicative of the changing consumer demand for premium entertainment content delivered anytime and everywhere.”

The finalists are:

Most outstanding marketing campaign for subscription sales or subscriber retention/extension

·           AFL Direct Mail Acquisition Campaign, FOXTEL

·           AFL Launch Campaign, FOXTEL

Most outstanding use of STV for a consumer ad campaign

·           Boosted Inspiration Series, MTV

·           Coles Green Button Recipe Campaign, Multi Channel Network

·           Samsung Galaxy S 111 – 2012 Olympic Games, Multi Channel Network

Most outstanding on-air program promotion

·           Short Guide – Short Guide BMX, London 2012 Olympic Games, FOXTEL

·           Territory Cops – Supercop, Territory Cops, Crime Investigation Network

·           Build The Dream, Grand Designs Australia S3, The LifeStyle Channel

Most outstanding off-air program promotion

·           [V] Presenter Search 2012, Channel [V]

·           Search For A Little Explorer, Nick Jr.

·           Get Your Gypsy On, Big Fat Gypsy Wedding S2, LifeStyle YOU Channel

Most outstanding channel image spot
