303Lowe wins Transperth

Exclusive: 303Lowe has beaten eight agencies to secure the coveted creative account of Perth’s Public Transport Authority, Transperth.

The organisation launched the open tender in September last year, searching for a full-service advertising partner to provide it with strategic marketing and creative services, both below and above the line.

While Transperth did not disclose which agencies were considered in the review, B&T understands that incumbent agency Cooch re-pitched for the $1.18m account.

303Lowe will manage the planning, design and production of integrated marketing campaigns to achieve corporate and project objectives, including brand development, advertising campaigns, stakeholder engagement and general awareness.

The initial contract runs until November 2015, with an option to extend to November 2017.

Cooch won the contract in 2007, the last time it went up for tender, and has produced some highly-regarded work for the brand, including the comical “Plan your journey home” campaign last Christmas.

Cooch also produced the humorous "Little Book of Rhymes" campaign, aimed at addressing antisocial behaviour on the train network.

Last year 303Lowe was also responsible for an anti-speed campaign for Western Australia’s Office of Road Safety called ‘Enjoy the ride’, which showcased the benefits of slowing down when driving (see below).
